as good as it gets for lunch The lunch combo is more food that you really need, but its completely delicious! The sashimi is fresh, the miso soup is great, and all the meats are perfect.

Zaoh - Large portions, cheap, very fresh At the corner of Mission and S. Van Ness, Zaoh is a little Japanese culinary oasis in the Civic Center area. Always crowded at lunch time - they serve up generous portions of really good sushi and terriyaki. Super Sushi Combo plate for $8.50 comes with soup and about 16 pieces of sushi. Service is very friendly. Can sit at the Sushi bar or at one of several tables in front and back.

Great for Lunch – Very quick service, if you can get in before all of the tables fill up. The super sushi combo is a fantastic deal - $7 for miso, and more rolls than you can eat. The cabbage salad is another can't miss, with shredded cabbage, long noodles and a ginger dressing that is fantastic.

Good, Cheap, Fast – Sushi is basically nigiri with a few hand rolls thrown in. Great spider rolls. Mostly cheap selections and they have a really fast delivery time. I like this place because of the cheap sushi and fast delivery.
