Best doctor ever
I am so grateful to Dr Zakari and his team for guiding and helping me through cancer treatments and surgery. I have been cancer free for 4 years and hope to celebrate 5 years cancer free in 2024.
I have been in remission since June of 2013. Dr Zakari and his team saw me thru 8 rounds of chemo and 2 yrs of maintenance chemo. He is informative and compassionate.
My husband was referred to Dr. Zakari because of his blood test results. Dr. Zakari's P.A. informed him he had either CLL or CMLleukemia and did additional blood work to determine which type. This was on a Friday. Our weekend was spent agonizing over the future, researching treatments & life expectancies of CLL and CML and breaking the bad news to our family. I've been a patient of Dr Zakari for many years, he's respectful, kind,caring, thoughtful, listens well,allows me to speak without interruption, make very good decisions about my overall health care, but leaves the final decision up to me.my number 1 doctor thanks for your great care
He is knowledgeable but unfortunately doesn't care about his patients.
A red flag for me was the fact one of the employees went somewhere else for her treatment!

Apparently his case load is too much, or just doesn't care about his patients. We have ask and then begged to see him after a chemo treatment... all we got was the P.A. which she is very informative and helpful. Where is the DR? Not happy with his care for my husband, nor is he. When a life is on the line, you want care and attention. I would choose someone else. It suggests to email him... no response. Like I said, he is too busy with whatever... his ego.
