We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The place is off the main drag but you should seek it out. I had a crab cake and venison burger, my wife had the halibut with black rice....it all was so good. We will come back. What a little gem in Newport!
If you live near Newport, or are even just passing by, this place is a MUST. I have never had a bad, or even an "average" meal here. The chef knows what he's doing. A good experience every time, every dish, guaranteed.

Having come from Billngs, Montana craving good seafood, Chef Zach's salmon, black rice and fresh green beans did not disappoint. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Along with a lovely Pinot Noir from Bradley Vineyard, the meal was so good we intend to return. Nice setting, great service, great food without being hoity hoity.
My husband and I wandered upon zachs and what an incredible experience. The food was outstanding, fresh tasty and fantastic. We consider ourselves foodies and was treated to an exceptional meal. Service was fantastic and location excellent. This places deserves. A 5 Star eating in my book.
We had brunch at Zach's today, my daughter had the Dutch baby with blueberries and I had the eggs, on tortillas, with black beans, ham, tomato sauce and avocado. Both were excellent and a great price.
If you love food that is fresh and beautifully presented, friendly staff and home like but classy atmosphere you have to eat here. Some of the best food I've ever had. The clam chowder is the best on the coast! Really impressed!! Thanks Zach for the VIP treatment.
