Dr. Thielen replaced both my hips. Bilateral hip surgery, basically one surgery, one stay in the hospital. After recovery I now have had over seven years as if I never had a problem. Dr. Thielen gave me back my life and my ability to do anything I want! I highly recommend him!
Jokester. Asked for a deposit on surgery. When I have top of line PPO HMSA. Came in laughing saying I just need two new shoulder replacements when I found he does hips and knees! Then I went to a real shoulder specialist at Straub on Oahu. No shoulder replacements needed.
Excellent care. Glad is available on Maui. Professional and kind and understanding of my needs.
Dr Theilen replaced my left knee 2023:as a former Physical Therapist I contacted Physical Therapy clinics and patients to see if they thought he was a good surgeon. I was pleased that he was so compassionate, and he answered all of my questions, and even after the surgery there was a nerve pain behind the patellar tendon impingement with knee replacements, and he loosened it up for me.Love him! In the last 2 years Dr. Thielen has replaced my hip and knee. He is excellent and my recovery from both was far better than many people I know. He is detailed, precise and has wonderful staff. If you need orthopedic surgery, Dr. Thielen is your very best choice. He is a magic man!
