This pizza is famous. The deep dish pizza is really good but one must like really chunky tomatoe pizza sauce. They also have really good lunch specials with a slice, salad, and drink.
Great pizza, even when you go lighter on the sauce and cheese. The place is often packed, so we do take-out just as often as we eat there.
Zachary's Pizza = Good Grub! – Chicago can officially take a hike. You've been outdone. There's no shame in that. You're pizza is good, but Zachary's is amazing. How do they do it? Amazing Deep Dish The deep dish pizzas are what they are known for... I love going here with friends or doing take out. The spinach and mushroom pizza is my favorite one there!
Love the tomatoes These pizzas are so good! We ordered them twice in the two weeks we were in San Ramon and I'm sure if we are ever back in the area, we will be ordering again. They put a chunky tomato sauce on the top of their pizzas and it's soo good! On their website there were rave reviews about their home made ceasar salad dressing, so I had to try it and I have to say that I was a bit disappointed in that, but other than that, this place is a must go if you are in the area.
It's different When Zachary's opened, everyone was all atwitter becasue they had heard it was so good, and couldn't wait to try it. We were warned that you had to be patient. We ordered it an hour ahead but still had to wait a half hour to pick it up. All of their stuffed pizzas have the entire top covered in stewed tomatoes. I like tomatoes, so it was ok for a change but I wouldn't want it that way every time. It was tasty but I prefer traditional American-style pizza.
Great Pizza! I really like the pizza here and the servers here are so friendly! Personally I love the thin crust option at this restaurant but many of my friends are in love with the thick crust. You must try the BBQ chicken pizza, its the best. And did I say the staff was nice?
As good as the original – The "new" Zach's over in San Ramon has the same great pizza in a snazy new location. Definitely recommended for deep dish pizza. Friendly staff and not quite as hectic feeling as the College Ave location. I've been eating at Zach's for over 15 years (even before I lived in the Bay Area) and everytime is as good as the first. It's my favorite pizza on the West Coast.
