The new zacatecas restaurant is open now.I am planning on visiting this zacatecas restaurant as soon as i can so i can taste the food.Restaurant is located on Iowa where old shaky's pizza was.
I skipped the atmosphere because I am anxiously waiting for the new location to open. I have eaten here for 50 years, since a UCR student living in the east side "student ghetto" and mom and dad opened Zac's on University and Park. Now John and his family have upgraded the quality of ingredients while keeping the integrity of his mom's recipes. Can't figure out when it will open the new venue on Iowa (old Shakey's locale) or if it is still open on University. Want to go Wed night so hope I can find out by then.
I have not dined at Zacatecas in years, however, when I have eaten there in the past it was excellent. Family owned and operated, authentic. That is what I look for in my restaurant.
Best chicken enchiladas The thursday special green chicken enchiladas are the best Mexican food around! The veggie burrito is a good choice for other days, too. A perfect place for a casual lunch, but the dinner hours are a little strange.
Wow that other review is just plain ghetto talk and not to be believed. Assalting your patrons is a bit much, if you won't accept your own coupon then business must be really rotten and no wonder. Better to put a leash on the relative and/or keep it in the kennel.
Zacatecas Cafe is great Humongo food. good authentic tastes. regularly visit. don't get tired of it. gotta get in before the regular lunch crowd to sit and enjoy your food. great service
Zacatecas Cafe great mexican food One of the best mexican food restaurants in Riverside. Their tacos are delicious, and they serve a mole type sauce with their chips. This restaurant is ran by an entire family which makes it so much more comfortable when dining in. I get my food fast, and the lunch menu is cheap too.
Delicious Huevos Rancheros This place has had the best mexican breakfast around for as long as I can remember! You must try the huevos rancheros for breakfast. They also make amazing taquitos!
