I live here, I'm a bit disappointed with maintenance over one ongoing issue, but find that with most issues, they tackle things pretty quickly. That being said, in recent years, pests are getting pretty bad, but I suppose bugs don't discriminate. I do believe the YWCA does care about issues more than other projects, and I can say it's the best project of its kind that I have lived in as a low income earner. Programming and supports are pretty good. I would give it 4 stars were it not for an issue I am still waiting on.

Great space for meetings and events
Poorly maintained building, infested with cockroaches and other pests, also prejudice staff working there. Avoid at all costs unless you’re ok with being belittled and ok with living with pests.
The STAR 4 Women program at YWCA (222 Dixon Rd location) was a short but truly unforgettable experience for me. I joined with very low expectations, because no employment program before this one helped me find myself or a real career direction. This program completely changed that.
