If you order shrimp, you'll get a bunch and every meal comes with a shrimp appetizer, but the chicken is a mix of dark and light meat, which is not good Hibachi. You pay extra for fried rice, and the bean sprouts, which are served late in the meal, are limp and bitter. Much better food just a bit further south is served at Hanakawa in Libertyville, IL. No upcharge for fried rice. Seafood portions are smaller, but chicken and beef entrees are big enough and delish!
We always love eating at Yiri of Japan. Its a treat to be there as often as possible. Everyone is friendly and the fried rice is the best around!
This place was horrible!!! I brought my sister here for her birthday with our party of 5 and we all felt the same. The reviews looked excellent but was I disappointed for trying this place. For example, when they brought out the meat to cook on the grill, I didn't even recognize the chicken because it was the dark rib meat which has a distinct strong dark meat flavor. Great Japanese This place has delicious, authentic Japanese food. It is located in a strip mall but once you walk in, you won't realize that you are in a strip mall. It is a very clean, comfortable place.
