Despite an 8:45 AM appt, after waiting more than 1 hr I was told I was next. The room walls are so thin that I overheard the patient in next room complaining to Dr. Yuri because she had waited for more than an 1 hr too. Her appt was also at 8:45, so by default he was planning to be late for at least one of his patients. Since she had complained first, he saw her first. I’m so pleased and excited as I will be under the care of this professional . He explained my pinched nerve condition in detail and suggested that I have steroid epidural injections for sever pain relief. At last I feel I’ve found a doctor who in accomplished and has a sincere interest in his patients medical needs.
I just listened to a voice recording I had made of a consultation with Dr. Falkinstein three years ago. I had been referred to him to determine if my pain was coming from my right hip or my twice-operated upon spine. This audio record of his intelligence, patience, expertise and resourcefulness reminded me that this was one of the very best health professional interactions of my 74 years! (It was my hip!)

This surgeon was my first of many for my spinal stenosis. He took the time to read my MRI and I even came back with my husband which he again explained what he would do for me. I liked the fact he would go in the front of neck as opposed to another doctor wanted back. He did not feel it necessary for me to have a plate on level 3 fusion so I was abit puzzled as to how the fusion would hold. After getting multiple opinions, I did however found an international surgeon who will perform my surgery
I saw him a few years back for workers comp injury to his neck. Everything that Dr. Falkenstein said was accurate and the best part is he followed through. What he told us he also wrote in his report.
Dr. Falkinstein is a very talented surgeon, and also a very patient, kind person. He always took the time to answer my questions, and was very thorough in reviewing all of my test results and images with me. He made sure I felt calm and comfortable the day of surgery, and was great at reviewing my progress at my follow-up appointments. I highly recommend him to anyone experiencing back pain - he gave me my life back and I will forever be grateful!!
Do not use this doctor for a QME evaluation if you are on Worker's Comp. you are subject to benefit interruption and your primary treating physician removed from the MPN. this doctor spends very little time with you and apparently has no real interest in truly evaluating your overall health. You are treated like a number and not a human! This doctor caused me to loose all of my benefits after only seeing me twice by submitted a report to my insurance company that did not reflect my injuries.
