Falkinstein is a fantastic surgeon who has a great team who work very well together. I needed a two level fusion in my lower back (L5, S1) I was concerned because other surgeons still do this from the back cutting all the muscles. Dr. Falkinstein performed this with a small ( about 5') incision in my lower abdomin. It was a major success. I am one year post surgery. No more back pain! Despite an 8:45 AM appt, after waiting more than 1 hr I was told I was next. The room walls are so thin that I overheard the patient in next room complaining to Dr. Yuri because she had waited for more than an 1 hr too. Her appt was also at 8:45, so by default he was planning to be late for at least one of his patients. Since she had complained first, he saw her first. I’m so pleased and excited as I will be under the care of this professional . He explained my pinched nerve condition in detail and suggested that I have steroid epidural injections for sever pain relief. At last I feel I’ve found a doctor who in accomplished and has a sincere interest in his patients medical needs.

I just listened to a voice recording I had made of a consultation with Dr. Falkinstein three years ago. I had been referred to him to determine if my pain was coming from my right hip or my twice-operated upon spine. This audio record of his intelligence, patience, expertise and resourcefulness reminded me that this was one of the very best health professional interactions of my 74 years! (It was my hip!)

Dr. Yuri Falkinstein saved me! I honestly don’t know how to describe the happiness & relief I am feeling right now after suffering for years from lower back pain (p.s I am 30 years old) Since my teenage years, I suffered from sciatica. This surgeon was my first of many for my spinal stenosis. He took the time to read my MRI and I even came back with my husband which he again explained what he would do for me. I liked the fact he would go in the front of neck as opposed to another doctor wanted back. He did not feel it necessary for me to have a plate on level 3 fusion so I was abit puzzled as to how the fusion would hold. After getting multiple opinions, I did however found an international surgeon who will perform my surgery

I saw him a few years back for workers comp injury to his neck. Everything that Dr. Falkenstein said was accurate and the best part is he followed through. What he told us he also wrote in his report.

Dr. Falkinstein is a very talented surgeon, and also a very patient, kind person. He always took the time to answer my questions, and was very thorough in reviewing all of my test results and images with me. He made sure I felt calm and comfortable the day of surgery, and was great at reviewing my progress at my follow-up appointments. I highly recommend him to anyone experiencing back pain - he gave me my life back and I will forever be grateful!!
