A wonderful therapist. She met me where I was and taught me a lot. Shes approached our therapy with grounded, in-my-corner sessions. I believe that with therapy you have to find someone that fits the kind of care you need. I was lucky to find this with Yuko, but you may need to do research into what care a therapist is comfortable with and go to a few different places to find the right fit. Best of luck!
Do not recommend therapy sessions with Yuko. This clinician does not take their client’s past diagnosis information into account during sessions & treatment.
I had an amazing therapy experience with Yuko! She is by far the best therapist/psychologist I’ve met in Colorado. Yuko is incredibly warm, supportive, and made me feel truly welcome and comfortable. I’m deeply grateful for her care and expertise. I highly recommend Yuko if you’re looking for a mental health therapist — she’s simply the best!
Dr. Kishimoto changed my life, which is a huge claim, because she saw me as a person not a diagnosis. She was the only doctor to actually talk to me instead of the generic, "How are you feeling? or Uh huh *nod*." She would help give me tasks to practice, whether they worked or not, she tried. She was also the only doctor to notice I was misdiagnosed! I brought this up with my Psychiatrist, who confirmed it along with an additional diagnoses that tied in everything.
