My son had a counselor from this place and she didn't help matters any, infact she made things worse for the entire family including my son. They was supposed to assign him a new counselor but refused and service provided was awful and not even helpful. A child that has behavioral issues and mental health and should have been given 1 on 1 counseling turned into him getting removed and being locked up because he had a problem with the counselor that came out cause he didn't like nor trust her. Our foster child (pre-teen) was assigned to a young case worker named Quinn Vinson. She was new, inexperienced, and certainly should not have been assigned to work with a child with extensive trauma. My husband and I regularly felt like we were more knowledgeable than this young lady. In the future, we hope that Youth Villages will do more training with young therapists before sending them out to help children with substantial trauma.

If I could give this place a negative rating I would! They don’t take a crisis situation seriously at all and wanted to send my niece home even though she stated her intentions to harm herself! They have no problem violating the Americans with disabilities act and put no value in a child’s life! This place should not be operational!!!
