Great organization to help young people.
Before accepting a position at YSS I had heard many wonderful, positive things about the nonprofit & their dedication. Working there now, I can truly attest that the people who work so hard to provide for those in need truly care about what they do & those they are helping.
I am always impressed with the good works of YSS and the great love with which they do it.
I have just worked with them in a couple programs. They support teens needing transitional housing; they have a free store for those in need, if they don’t have something needed they go out and find it; they educate the public on homelessness through their annual Sleepout event in the fall; etc. They support teens in numerous different ways. Great job YSS.
Great services provided for needs that otherwise would go unmet. Our community is much better because of YSS!
As a employee years ago, I worked several programs for Y.S.S, was a great job because I enjoyed working with the youths and making a difference in their lives. I worked with a family several years, along with the SAM house,and with independent living, also the very worse part where I was truly Mistreated by the upper supervisors and staff, The juvenile detention center. still to this day it angers me to think back on how crooked that system was. as a man with great report w...
