Lack of communication between social workers was not told I have to be from Shasta county to do THP plus, had me thinking I got in, even told me to help look for places told me I had 1850 out of knowhere. just for all that to not be true, can’t enter thp plus if your from other counties they’ll waste your time misinform you and overall look lost, Carrie and the rest of the management need better communication skills.
Do not use this program unless you want lack of communication and misinformation, not to mention the lies. I am a former youth in the THP program and let me just say it sucked. When I first got there I couldn’t receive any of my mail. I was told the mailboxes at my apartment were off limits to me, and was forced to send my mail and packages to their office. I was a mentor in their Transitional Housing Program two years ago. I found the program to be negligent and malicious towards adults and kids who spoke out against them. At one point, one of the kids in my house ran out of food. Her CASA and I reached out with concern and I ultimately bought her groceries and shared my food (crazy that this fell on me since this is basically a full time job and the company paid a measly $200? monthly stipend).
