I’m writing because I had a very disappointing experience at my appointment today. I signed in early and was taken to the exam room around 10:15 a.m., but I waited there until 11:00 a.m. without seeing the doctor. During that time, I could hear the doctor talking with other patients, one after another, while I just kept waiting. I completely understand that some patients may need extra time — but if that’s the case, the office should schedule longer appointments or adjust the timing. Worst care I’ve ever received. Actually ever in my 47 years of life! Office staff and MA are amazing but Dr. Nejar is dated in his approach and leaves lots to be desired. He’s not going to go above and beyond. He will only work within his scope (and barely that) and ignore everything else. Frankly, he never even discussed or offered assistance with my diagnosis conditions. I had a 3 day long Trigeminal Neuralgia episode that left me completely incapacitated for days and I was ignored completely.
I was a patient of Dr. Nejjar 15 years ago when I had my first TIA. He saw me then because I had health insurance through my job. Recently I was diagnosed with a brain disease by my Endocrinologist and tried to set an appt. with Dr. Nejjar to learn how to live with this disease. He declined my appt. because I am “self pay” now and don’t have insurance. I explained that I will pay for the appt but he still declined to see me. I had seen this doctor years ago and he is compassionate, listened to my concerns. He forwarded me to nerve testing/MRI and was instrumental in quickly referring me to a tip notch surgeon. I will be forever grateful for his personal care.
