In one word -> Perfect! Let me tell you why. [1st] He listened to my history of the issues from my perspective. [2nd] He asked questions, to fill in any blanks. [3rd] He educated me on my issues and how they affected me now, and in the future. [4th] He explained what his recommended treatment plan. And 5th, He explained why we should address my issues in the manner he suggests and the affect the treatments would have. I hope he becomes a teacher one day, because he was one of the most excellent Doctors I've ever been to.

Dr Yousaf Shaikh has been my mother's gastroenterologist for almost two years. I bring my mother and interpret for her since she doesn't speak English. He always listens and is always concerned in details of my mother's health. He makes sure that the condition of her gastritis doesn't get worse and follows up on the tests and essential procedures. He will always call to explain the test results and give recommendations. Every doctor should be like him! I strongly recommend him and his office in Bloomfield.
First time seeing Dr Shaikh and I really thought he will be like other Doctors and just read my notes and agree with the person who wrote the notes. But that was not the case he took the time to make sure he had all the information he needed to proceed. Dr Shaikh answered all my and my husband question and said he wants to rule out everything before he can truly say exactly what is going on. that made me feel so good knowing he was not being persuade by other Dr. I will recommend Dr Shaikh to anyone.
