He is always professional and is an excellent surgeon with good diagnostic skills and judgement. he also communicates well.As far as running late, well he is a surgeon: opthamologists are surgical MDs...they treat eye disorders with both procedures and drugs. Given the complexity of arranging surgical care at hospitals, its impossible to predict or control. Also he is getting busier since he is such a good MD.Advice: take the day off; eye appts are usually 3-4 hour affairs due to waiting on eye drops, etc. This has been my ex... read more
I made the appointment well in advance. Dr. Young canceled due to Covid - perfectly understandable. I made another appointment a month later, first thing in the morning. After waiting 45 minutes, Dr. Young explained he was running behind and they don’t call patients when they’re running late. This office shows a complete disregard for their patient’s time. I walked out.
I believe Dr. Young is an excellent physician however he is disrespectful to his patients because he always runs late. 15 minutes late is ok, 30 minutes is not acceptable every time.
I have been Dr. Young's patient for the past 6 years and cannot say enough how knowledgeable and caring he is. He is very thorough and his office is well equipped. He listens and discusses treatment options with his patients before making a recommendation. The staff is really friendly and welcoming.
Dismissive and in a hurry. While he seems knowledgeable, appointment was rushed. Lightning speed attempt to determine corrective lenses was not too successful from first try. Instead of correcting and trying again, he just waved me off - if I'm more comfortable with old glasses, then just go with them, see you next year. Uhm, I was not, and that was part why I was there. Thanks for nothing, Dr. Young. I guess I'm seeing another one next time. Since I still need/want to see normally...
Dr. Young was very thorough, knowledgable, and personable. It was our initial visit, and we will continue to use him in the future.
