I have had the similar situation regarding the dress that I bought in March 2023, and planned to come for my first fitting in September 2023. I could not reach the store via the phone to make an appointment, but I also sent an email and social media messages to make a booking, and next day the owner (Lucie) contacted me, and said that she was apologising and that she lost business phone, so she read my email and called me back. At first my experience with this store was great. Particularly their pricing was extremely reasonable and I found the perfect design for my dress. Since I paid the 60% deposit for the dress in March 2023, I have been measured once and those measurements were lost. I was not told they were lost and my dress had not been ordered until I visited the store in June 2023 to have my maid of honour measured and order her dress. I by far had the most welcoming experience with this shop and was able to find the one! I was looking in a more modest budget and only had about 3 months before the wedding, so a lot of shops I went into met with with snooty looks, rolled eyes, and hesitance to give me much time. But in this shop there was no rush, no judgement of my budget, and a great ‘can-do’ attitude. It’s awesome you could book by text message and the appointment was soon, also great. However, there didn’t seem much more to be positive about. It was my first time dress shopping so perhaps my expectations are too high! We (mum and me) weren’t met at the door/desk. They didn’t seem to anticipate our arrival. We were welcome to pull dresses from the rack. All dresses seemed to be size 10, I’m realistically a 14. So it’s hard to see how it fitted.
