George Yost is a VA appraiser but he is not for veterans. His appraisal went to tidewater and when good comps were submitted, he still came back with $75,000 less than agreed price. Yes, the house is in a rural area but that’s what some people want, especially if the veteran has PTSD. Appraisers like Mr Yost only kill dreams and make sellers never want to accept a VA offer.
I don’t know what all the fuss is about, I’m gonna be honest the reviews had me so skeptical but this guy was timely and everything was good to go. It took about a week, but that’s normal procedures. Stay on top of the people that put this together, get your documents and payments in timely & you’ll be fine.
***2nd update He under apprisedmy house by $135,000.00 thats a lot of money. This guy may have dementia, in my opinion. He sure shows the signs.** UPDATED SEE BOTTOM**RUN (DON'T WALK) AWAY. This man should have his license revoked. He held up my closing for 3 weeks. Ghosted me and my mortgage company. I have never seen a less professional person. RUN (DON'T WALK) AWAY. This man should have his license revoked. He held up my closing for 3 weeks. Ghosted me and my mortgage company. I have never seen a less professional person. Appraised our brand new home with 26 acres of land well below sale value. Compared with homes much older than ours. Report states well water which is 1 of many mistakes on report. Hard to believe he is licensed with the Veterans Administration.
