I first met Dr Yonekawa just over two years ago after a really bad experience at another local eye facility. He was wonderful and compassionate. After two years of seeing him every 3-4 months, he recommended the injection. He remembered my past experience and asked what he could do to make it better. He listened and performed it so quickly and without me having to watch the needle go into my eye. I won’t say it was a pleasure because it’s not, but he showed he cares and was able to make it a better experience.
Dr. Yonekawa has quite literally saved my eyesight, I only wish I had found him sooner. Dr. Yonekawa has the perfect combination of professionalism and kindness. At my prior out of state clinic I used to dread my eye injections because they were so painful but not anymore. Dr. Y has a gift for gentleness and I no longer dread them - it is just routine and I now leave the office able to pretty much go about my day.
