I knew Dr.John Higgins and his lovely wife Gretchen.I worked at Yorkville one summer back in the 80's.
The founder John Higgins was the most amazing guy and a good friend of mine, you have never met a man that loved animals more, he has since passed but knowing that staff stayed on I can fully recommend this VH to anyone in need.

This clinic is incredible. My cat was dying and we’ve been given the run around by the last vet we brought her to so I decided to juSt look elsewhere. A friend recommended this place and im just glad we decided to go here. The staff was great especially the vet dr Schoen. She was professional, compassionate and very detailed with her explanations from diagnostics to options for my sick cat. Love love love Dr. Meltzer, Dr. Schoen and all of the staff. Everyone is so caring and always checks on my pup after visits and they provide the most amazing care.
I love Yorkville Animal Hospital. Dr Meltzer has been my vet for years. She was so kind and supportive when my first dog, Bonnie, passed away. Now she just adores Bounce and the feeling is mutual. Her exams are very thorough and I never feel rushed. The entire staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
