Everything at Yorktown was amazing! My husband and I lived there for 3 years and always had great interactions with the staff. The grounds and facilities are meticulously maintained and anytime we had maintenance requests they were taken care of promptly. I would totally recommend Yorktown to anyone looking to move to the Tuscaloosa area.
We just moved out of Yorktown Commons due to moving to another state. We lived there for two years and would have stayed longer if we stayed in Tuscaloosa. This is one of the best apartments to live in within Tuscaloosa. First Yorktown Commons is locally owned and the property manager is consistently on the property and routinely goes around the property to make sure all areas are maintained. I am finishing up my second year of living at Yorktown Commons. I highly recommend choosing this complex. The landscaping is top tier, the staff are on top of any maintenance issues and they respond immediately to needs with action. They notify you when packages arrive and will hold them for you if you're out of town. The owner takes genuine care of the complex himself and is readily available if concerns arise. SUBLEASING HERE IS PRACTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE Lived here for 2 years. Be very CAREFUL before signing a lease. Subleasing is technically allowed, but in reality, it is almost impossible. We informed Allison and Rich 6 months in advance that we might move out. They verbally promised to help, but did NOTHING, prioritizing renting other vacant units instead.
