I have always been a big supporter of York Hospital in Maine, however, I have had quite a few unpleasant experiences lately. Mainly with the billing department. I will only keep one provider with York Hospital in Maine because the provider is fabulous. I would recommend her to anyone. Unfortunately, I just do not recommend the facility/company she works for.

Recommendedthese guys saved my life due to a backup of fluid in my kidneys. my nurses I have had have been nothing but the best. as I sit here in my hospital bed they going lady I have keeps checking to make sure I'm okay and if I need anything. I was intially not going to do my surgery I needed but the surgeon was firm with me and explained I'm 26 and that the repercussions if I don't do it how they will not only affect me but my loved ones as well. I might be in pain a little bit but I'm glad I did this to prolong my life. thank you ... read more

Fiancé visited Wells location and was treated like a second class citizen. He let them know he had difficulty having blood drawn as he has rolling veins and tattoos. He politely advised they should use a hot compress of which the nurse said “we’re not a hospital we don’t have that here”. After 3 unsuccessful attempts she filled a glove with warm water to be used as a compress. She still couldn’t get it and obviously found this frustrating as she was slamming things around the room and not at all kind putting on the bandage. ... read more

RecommendedI am absolutely delighted with my experience with York Hospital. Every, single staff member I've interacted with during pregnancy, delivery, and these couple of days postpartum have been incredible. They've shown us genuine kindness and compassion. They've taught us things and helped us. I can't put into words how grateful I am for the experience we had. As an added bonus, the food here is phenomenal!!! I would gladly dine here if it were a restaurant.
ok I have been a patient here years I loved all But one Doctor who only met me twice my normal doctor is maternity leave I was in a mager car accident on May 1st when discharged from Maine Medical I was instructed to schedule a in person post hospital visit with my PCP They refused until my stitches got infected and then when expressing my frustration to Doctor Sarah Erickson (substitute PCP)she told me that it wasn't her Problem that she doesn't deal with scheduling my leg got infected because of a lack of follow up care be... read more
