The representatives and the designs of this company are high quality and professional.
Lived in several of their buildings within a 6 year time frame. All the buildings that I lived in were great with lots of room. Very helpful when I needed things done and if and when I move back to the London area I will rent with them again. Staff and Owners are beyond helpful
0 stars. This has been one of the most difficult and frustrating rental experiences I’ve ever had. In my experience, there were serious issues with communication, documentation, and transparency. I often felt intimidated and misled by information that turned out to be inaccurate. Tenants — especially seniors or those unfamiliar with their rights — should be very cautious and make sure they understand the Residential Tenancies Act before signing anything. Unfortunately, my experience with York Developments was a perpetual headache. I had some challenging interactions with Sue and other members of the team during my move-in process, but once I gave my 3 months notice to move out, it became ridiculous. When she came to take pictures for the listing, Sue was touching my belongings, and asked me if it would be okay if she gave me less than 24-hours notice to schedule viewings. Edit: In response to the owner’s reply on the Sofia Yorkville Review – we have been in direct contact with them regarding these issues since March 2025. In regard to the kitchen drain - they told us nothing could be done about the sewage odor, citing a plumber who supposedly found no issue and advised “monitoring.” They claimed to have checked the traps and even suggested we move units and sign a new lease.
