My mom lives at York Commons and I stayed wit her during the winter storm. I seen the maintenance men outside in the cold, shoveling snow for hours making sure everyone was good. Whenever my mom got a problem in her apartment, those men always come through and fix it. They are always polite and respectful. Shelia, the property manager, is making this place dangerous. She talks to us disrespectful and spends all her time spreading rumors about us. Yesterday my kids were getting off the school bus and a man with a knife was looking for her. Are you kidding me?! How are our children supposed to be safe? My mom recently moved out of York Commons and into a 65+ community after nearly ten wonderful years there. It was a bittersweet move for her, but we’re so grateful for the kindness and support she received throughout the process. Thank God someone finally spoke up. Shelia don’t help at all. Whoever wrote the review below is 100 percent right. We hardly ever see her. The only people that actually help us are her helpers in the office and maintenance. She always wanna threaten people, saying she gonna do this or that. The old white lady that used to be in the office helped way more. A job title don’t make you a better person, your actions do.
I don’t personally live here, but my sister has lived here for years with her two children and I visited recently and I must say it’s refreshing to hear her and even her kids talk about how nice this place and how friendly all the staff is! Thank you for giving my sister and her kids a safe comfortable environment
