Honestly I cannot even put into words how bad my appointment with Dr Shenker was. He did not even attempt to listen to my symptoms, nor did he address any of the issues I've been having. He complained about having to see new patients while I could hear him. Worst of all he made some incredibly misogynistic statements. I am shocked that someone who treats patients like Dr Shenker does is allowed to continue to practice.
He is a very knowledgeable and highly regarded Endocrinologist. With this being said, yes his bedside manner isn’t his strength but you can be assured the lab work and medicines and care you receive will be by one of the most highly regarded EDNO’s in the UW system. I have a double very rare disease and I can assure you after years of treatments around the world by many Doctors he remains one of my top clinical specialists.

After I told them I was diagnosed in 2009 and have been on medication since then he actually told the nurse he “didn’t think I ever actually had hypothyroid so I should go off all medication completely for 2... read more
