If I could give this physician less than one star I would. I have seen him twice and so have my family members and we have totally switched. First - he's quite brusque and spends very little time in the room (didn't even EXAMINE the area that needed treatment before making a prescription and is in the room for less than five minutes each visit). Second - when he suggested a medication to his nurse, she told him that I shouldn't take it because the computer was telling her that another medication to which I am very allergic h... read more

Fantastic physician. He has been my family's doctor for 21 years. His vast medical knowledge and caring bedside manner will keep us as patients. He has a genuine concern for his patients that extend beyond their physical health. His staff is always professional and very friendly. I recommend Dr. Sam to everyone.

He does not take "Doctor/patient confidentiality" seriously. He told me that I did not have to test for mental illness because he has been the doctor for the family for years.
He's pompous and condescending, when he talks with you about basal cell carcinoma it's like he's reciting from a script. As a matter of fact, as I was changing after my appointment, I heard him say the exact same thing in the exact same annoyed tone of voice to the person in the next room. It's as if he is board with the everyday stuff, and only wants to be bothered if you have something exciting, like your skin is falling off in chunks and you're dying. He also talks over you, doesn't listen to you and does things like star... read more

I went to Dr. Rodts on a recommendation by a nurse that assisted my mother when she was in Elmhurst hospital with a knee problem. I had fallen and injured both my knees and my wrists and did not know who to see about it. The nurse said if she had my problem she would go to Dr. Rodts. After a brief examination by Dr. Rodts, I was instructed to have Xrays taken in his same building. After the xrays were taken, Dr. Rodts received them immediately and said they did not show much and that I needed an MRI on my knees and wrists. H... read more
