Super authentic yakitori focused izakaya. Menu included a great selection of drinks, a very standard Japanese yakitori spread and lots of side dishes. Every skewer we had was delicious. Staff was super kind and the vibe of the place was unmatched. Would come back again for sure.
Very disappointed with the customer service from Alexis at this restaurant. We told her the meat was undercooked before we even touched the food and politely asked if it could be taken back to cook a little more. Instead, Alexis said, “If you don’t like how it’s cooked, take it home and cook it more yourself.” That was extremely rude and unprofessional. The food is good but the staff leave you waiting if you’re not a regular. There have also been two separate occasions where the staff come out and asked me why I don’t leave a tip. Regardless of the reason, the staff shouldn’t be asking any customer that. The first time someone came out and told me that if I didn’t go back and change my bill/add a tip that I would be added to a “list” of people not to take back. We’ve been coming to this restaurant for about 5 years and have always had great experiences—until now. We called ahead the day before and made a reservation, but when we arrived, the hostess (Alexis) couldn’t find it. Instead of trying to help or acknowledging the situation, she was incredibly rude and dismissive from the start.
