The windows were all blocked off, so I was reluctant to go in -- however, I built up the courage and opened the door. I went into this "restaurant" SO DANG CONFUSED! I am not a local, but hah I would expect this kind of place in NYC. I was greeted by this tall guy asking me if I was interested in dessert or dinner. I said "dessert?" Great Japanese food! I live in Italy but here in vacation for all month, I visited with my friend,so many restaurants, coffe bars and yogurt places. We have both problem eating food with gluten and in addiction I have also problem with lactose. So we have been in YoBamba, this faboulos place. The first good impression, about the elegance, the greeting, the cleanliness. I was in town for a meeting and was lured in by the storefront. The Japanese food menu offers choices that seem like Japanese Tapas. I created my own meal by ordering Miso soup, a triangle rice, a tofu steak with marinated tomatoes and edamami salad. I was served in less than 8 minutes and the quality was up to par with the best Japanese restaurants in Manhattan, at a fraction of the price, less than 10 dollars.
