"I've been a member of the YMCA for the past few months, and I've noticed a significant decline in maintenance over this period. The bathrooms are moldy, the water fountain doesn't work, and the sauna has been out of order for at least the last month. My son went to 3K and Pre-K at YMCA Flushing, and we loved it! The teachers and staff were all so kind and patient. When he first started school at age three, it was his very first time in a school setting, and he cried every morning. But within a month, he was running into class with a smile. It was right after COVID, so they also taught the kids about wearing masks and washing their hands properly. I can’t say enough good things about the YMCA 3K and Pre-K program. The teachers are so caring and the whole environment feels safe and loving. What I really appreciate is how they keep us parents in the loop. We get daily pictures of our kids, and those weekly home connection activities and special events are such a fun way to keep the learning going at home. The newsletters are helpful too, and I love that they host family events throughout the year, it really makes you feel part of a community. Parents are welcome to join... read more

A Thank-You to Coach Carolina at 273 Bowery YMCA As a beginner with zero swimming experience and a fear of water, I signed up for the adult swimming class in July.
