Disappointed with my visit. The seolleongtang tasted like it was made with instant powder rather than a traditional slow-simmered broth. Also found an undisclosed tip already added to my bill — when I questioned it, staff refunded the cash difference but just said the system automatically does this, with no real explanation or apology. Wish the tipping practice was made clear before ordering.
The food is too good that it got me missing out the review for this korean food gem. I chanced upon this traditional korean food restaurant when other nearby restaurants were packed then. The list of dishes on the menu are all about homemade korean dishes. Don't sleep on this little spot in DJ! We ordered the seolleongtang and ugeoji galbitang and both were phenomenal. The banchan is also fresh and refilled often with a huge pot of green onions. The place is run by a sweet bunch of korean aunties and I felt like I was having dinner at one of their homes. Highly recommend for a cozy, homely korean meal.
