I was nearsighted when I went to see Dr. Shiuey for a PRK consultation. I had been wearing contacts or glasses daily and wanted to be free of them. Dr. Shiuey recommended monovision, where one eye is purposely left nearsighted while the other eye is corrected for distance vision (like driving), so I won't have to wear reading glasses later on in life. I had my cataracts replaced by Dr Shiuey. Everything went well in the office, and my eyesight hasn't been this good since I was in my late 30s. I was very happy with the doctor's thoroughness and with his answers to my questions.
This is the perfect place to have your vision corrected. From the initial consultation, the surgery and post op, everything was seamless. Everything was explained so there was no surprises. My vision is perfect for someone who has been wearing glasses all her life and practically blind.
Dr. Yichieh Shiuey examined me & found & clearly explained, eye pressure 50% higher than normal, narrow angle glaucoma & a cataract. Conditions corrected w/ minimum discomfort. 1 wk after cataract surgery & site vastly improved. My Primary Care Doctor had lens replacements by Dr. Shiuey. Eye care team answers questions between visits. Rx filled w/ in an hour, Costco. Dr. & staff professional, knowledgeable & congenial. I highly recommend Dr. Shiuey to anyone needing his area of eye care.
