About this business

Our family run tree business began in 1971 with the planting of 3,000 Douglas Fir trees. Since then, we have expanded to approximately 140 acres on 2 farms. Our trees range in size up to 12 feet with the majority of trees in the 6-8 foot range. We are quality growers of Eastern Douglas Fir (the tree with the best keepability according to Penn State University), Concolor Fir, and Blue Spruce. Most recently, we began growing Fraser Fir on a limited scale. We wholesale approximately 80% of our trees as cut Christmas trees. The b... read more

Such a beautiful place! They have a little shed for you to grab some cutters and cut your flowers. Even some vases to put them in. VERY, reasonably priced. We will be back!

Business response:

Thanks so much for visiting our farm!🌻

Although the staff was very friendly, I was highly disappointed overall. I went with a nice size family group , young children included and we didn’t bring any food due to the hype about food vendors being available. Unfortunately, they did not have enough staff to keep up with orders and we were even told they had ran out of many food options so we were turned away and kids went hungry. Aside from food availability, there was definitely not enough seating for the food area anyways. The gift shop was also very disappointing ... read more

We were extremely disappointed! There wasn't a sunflower field. The flowers you had were absolutely PITIFUL!!! NEVER GO THERE EVER!!!

Business response:

Hi, we are very sorry you did not have the experience you hoped for. We had a much larger crowd than we ever thought would show on our first year and our patch was picked through quickly. Next year there will be many more fields and we will be better prepared.

Staff was friendly, breathtaking views. But too many people for the middle of a pandemic.

sunflower festival was terrible! There were NO SUNFLOWERS! Poorly planned. Such a disappointment!

Business response:

Hi, we are very sorry there were not more flowers available to choose from. We had no idea of the crowd we would draw when the flowers were planted months ago. There will be many more sunflowers at next years event!

Nice family outing, clean, staff was friendly. Disappointed we drive an hour and were limited on the number of flowers we could pick but, I understood. Over all a nice day 🌻

Shame on them! Big misrepresentation! Acres? Looks more like volunteer plants in an unkempt field. Shame on you for bringing people looking for a little sunshine during this dismal time all the way out there for nothing! Shysters!

Business response:

Hi, we are very sorry you did not have the experience you hoped for. We were completely overwhelmed by the turnout we had and our fields were picked through quickly. We promise to have many more sunflowers for next years event.
