yellow cab rip off – If I could give less than one star I would --- it is clear this company cares nothing for their customers! It is clear that this cab company does not train or screen their cab drivers. I flagged a cab to take me 2 miles from a club to my house -- cab # 917 and the cab driver *insisted TWICE* tha that cross streets that I had chosen ran parallel and after telling him twice that I was a local and that they did not run parrallel he took me there. unreliable – Overall, the drivers are always good people. I however don't find this service reliable for anything important. They sometimes tell you the wait is 5-10 minutes. Meanwhile an hour goes by, and you still waiting for a taxi.

Worst Cab Company – I have tried many times to get ahold of an operator and each time I have, the Yellow Cab number gives me a message saying that the call cannot go through. When I do hail a yellow cab taxi I've have several experiences where I have been charged double the amount that I should have just because the driver forgets to start the time when I get in. So a fare that should be $8.00 ends up being $16.00 all because the cabbie forgets to start the meter. My fare is then estimated which I will not put up with. I wil... read more

Phone reservation service is usually unreliable – The Yellow Cab drivers are generally good people, the rates are fair for SF, and the vehicles are clean. But when using the call-in service, I've found that 50% of the time Yellow Cab will unscrupulously pick up anyone who happens to be waiting in the same vicinity. The call is then "cleared" at HQ and I never see my cab until I call back 30 minutes later to complain. Terrible service – We called Yellow Cab to take us to the airport. We were told that the cab would be there shortly. After 30 minutes, we called again only to be told it was around the corner. After 45 minutes and another call and assurance a cab was on its way, we found an alternative means of transportation. Upon calling Yellow Cab back to complain, we found that our cab still would not have arrived after 60 minutes and was told that the driver must have decided to pick up someone else instead of us. we almost missed our f... read more

Don't rely on Yellow Cab to pick you up! – Thanks to Yellow Cab I was late for a job interview. I called and asked for a taxi to be there in 30 minutes. The dispatcher said okay, but no cab turned up. Then I called and they said one was on the way. Another 10 minutes and it still wasn't there. I'm switiching cab companies.

fairly reliable – I use Yellow Cab at least once a week. The majority of the time, they are at my apartment with 10 minutes, and, their drivers are expedient and courteous.
