Visiting the office of Dr. Yawen Wang was a pleasant experience. The office was nice, the staff was helpful and polite. Dr. Wang was cheerful, understanding, efficient, easy with whom to talk. She understand our situation and was sympathetic and helpful.
Do not come here if you value your mental health. Never have I left a doctor's office feeling hopeless, frustrated and most all angry. Waited months, I mean months for this appointment. I was referred to her for a possible traumatic brain injury. Dr. Wang was so dismissive, she kept repeating "they're just migraines." During our visit, I asked Dr. Wang to complete the medical certification needed for my son’s 504 plan. My son is failing his classes due to the cognitive and physical side effects of his seizure medications, which places him at academic risk. Instead of discussing this or offering support, Dr. Wang refused to sign the form, stood up, and left the exam room. Never have I ever left a doctor’s office feelings as defeated as I have after leaving this office. I arrived optimistic due to the fact I have been waiting months for this visit and was honestly just hoping for some good information and clarity on what’s been going on. I was met with the most dismissive assumptive doctor.
