Literal thieves. Please don’t waste your time or money. I asked for small knotless and even showed a picture to confirm. I knew something was wrong when she finished after 3 hours made me pay with cash before she told me she was done and then walked away without showing me my hair. I went to the mirror myself and realized that my head looked skimpy like braids were missing. I asked from across the room (since she walked off) could she show me the back. Horrible
Bad service, rude nasty attitude. I asked for small, individual box braids but the braids I got look more like the medium-large Poetic Justice braids that I did not want. The parts are uneven and just don’t look that good. They braided my edges so tightly I almost wanted to cry!
I’ve been coming to this shop for over two years, but today was my last visit. I got knotless BoHo braids last month for $190 and came in today for a simple refresh. I was quoted $120 for just 30 braids — nearly the cost of a full style. This kind of inconsistent pricing is exactly why so many are calling out African braiding shops for price gouging. As a loyal customer, I expected better. I won’t be back.
When I tell you mia at Yatu African braid shop can braid some hair you better believe it. She did an awesome job in only 3 hours for some micros. I went in looking like a throw away child came out looking like the queen I am and the environment there was very friendly and welcoming I will be back
