Yarn Charm is a family small business owned by Lori and Craig Kowal. We started the shop and this web site because we wanted to share the types of yarns and accessories that we like and use ourselves, at a decent price. We are located in Nebraska where knitted and warm things frequently come in handy.

I was looking for yarn for a Dr Who scarf. I had one color but needed the others. Yarn Charm had all that I needed in stock, so I ordered Saturday evening. I not only received a confirmation from the shop, but there was a note asking if I needed the last color for the scarf! And friendly words of encouragement for all the garter stitch I would be doing! I'm visiting family in Lincoln for Christmas. I stopped into Yarn Charm today for the first time. What a treasure! It was great meeting Laurie and shopping. My mother fell in love with the Nymphalidea shawl on display so, of course! I had to get yarn to make it for her. It's a great store with a wonderful amount of yarn from indie dyers. I'll return the next time I'm in Lincoln.

I just love this place. I live just down the street from JoAnn Fabrics but I have no problem making the longer drive out to Yarn Charm for my yarn and supplies. I have always gotten excellent service here - just yesterday I was in looking for some size 8 circular needles and the lady working there seriously went through just about their entire stock of needles to help me find what would work best for my current project.
