I have been disappointed with my food, the last two times. But worse than that is the Management customer service. I purchased a gift certificate at Restaurant.com. The first time I tried to use it, was several months ago. I was told they were no longer accepting them. The Boss/Manager/Owner refused to come speak to me. Great restaurant for a private party or just to dine. Having had my mother's 80th birthday party there with so much success, I'm planning to have it there annually. Not only was the food delicious but the service was better than I could have hoped for. Dori was our waitress and it just added to the blissful night with her sparkling personality. A decent restaurant in Lexington The last reviewer is right about the decor, it is dark and the light fixtures needed cleaning, (as a matter of fact it remimded me to clean my own light fixtures in my home , so thats something that i know alot of people overlook),could use a few small changes in decor. Outstanding...Bad Yarborough's has been the place in Lexington that for years is where the natives have gone for special events; date night, birthdays, anniversaries,etc. However, it is time for a new look, update, or just upgrade the facilities. The bathroom is as bad or worse than an old gas station on the way to the beach. The dinning room is dark and unappealing. The nicest thing inside is the young man that sits in a small dark corner and entertains.
While growning up in Lexington, my mother and father often went to Yarboroughs for a special time out; just the two of them. They went there because it was upscale and nice with good steaks. When after nearly 40 some years I returned to Lexington and my husband and I decided to go out for a special night and selected Yarborough's. This praise is a little late but just wanted to shout out to the great staff at Yarborough's on January 30th, 2010! My son-in-law planned a suprise birthday party for my daughter in Lexington on the night of that gigantic blizzard! We had guest scheduled to come from many states to attend as far as Mn. While most guest were unable to make it due to the weather, those of us who had so much invested had to make the effort to attend. Yarborough's Restaurant is Great! We had a wonderful evening celebrating a Birthday. The steak's were very good. I would recommend this Restaurant to anyone that want's good food, and a nice place to eat. It also is a great place for group's to meet.
