I'm done with Carillon. They give you the run around. One MRI after the other and still no help with my pain. I will go to Lewis Gale from now on
I was seen by Dr. Lu due to multiple pain syndromes, I expressed to her that I am not supposed to be taking NSAIDs but have been due to Tylenol and other interventions not working for my pain. I was told to keep doing what I was doing. Also told to try water aerobics and Trigger point injections even though I can not be in chlorine and I'm allergic to most steroids. I love her. After the procedure I was pain free about 3/4 years. Now I've moved to Alabama and I need her again. My back is giving me trouble again. I hope the doctor here is as good as she is.
Precise! Dr Lu gave me a steroid injection today and she went directly to the nerve that is causing the leg pain. It caused my leg to jump and feel that she had pinpointed and targeted the correct nerve with the injection. Bedside Manor: 5 star! Her entire team at Carilion felt like the Dream Team. I was in and out and feel very hopeful that this therapy may work. I have total confidence in Dr. Lu's skill and ability!
.Dr. Lu was very distracted during my visit, she said she was waiting for a phone call. I have a cyst on my spine causing terrible nerve pain and all she offered was physical therapy. I need medication to deal with this amount of pain and she said she absolutely would not provide nor recommend pain medication. She did order an MRI, but I doubt the results will change her plan of treatment.
