I had cataract surgery on both eyes, two month apart. Before the first surgery, Dr. Yao explained the procedure in great detail, and then went on to answer all my additional questions. Dr. Yao was reassuring, andsupportyive which I needed because I was nervous.
I wouldn't trust my husband's eyes to anyone else!!! Great doctor!
Dr Melissa Yao performed both my right and left eyes surgeries. She is extremely competent and professional. Dr Yao clearly explained the process beforehand. I am very happy with both outcomes. I would highly recommend her to family and friends. In addition the staff at the office and surgical location were friendly and professional.

Dr. Melissa Yao is an amazing doctor. I have had two cataract surgeries completed by Dr. Yao and each time Dr. Yao and her staff have achieved amazing results. My eyesight has improved tremendously. Dr. Yao is caring and explains all procedures clearly and offers opportunities for questions. She is a true treasure for Montefiore Hospital. Absolutely recommend her!!
