Knowing what I know now, I wish I'd looked up this guy's education and certification. He was treating my mother (before I moved her in with me) for a supposed "tissue infection". Turns out she actually had charcot foot (10 fractures in the small bones in her foot). Yankowitz didn't even take x-rays. Podiatrist in my area I took her to saw foot, said that looks like charcot, get x-rays, and confirmed fractures. He was in disbelief that someone trained as a podiatrist would have missed it.
I hate to leave a negative review on a good doctor. However, these days, the doctor is only as good as their front desk staff and in this case we have had to start taking our kids elsewhere. We had confirmed they accepted our insurance before taking our son. However, we found out by receiving a bill several months later that there was an issue with the insurance company. I tried to give this place another chance but they are AWFUL. No patient ethics at all they do not care about your discomfort. They are so hard up about insurance and bills that they don’t even ask how you’re doing. Offered very little options and diagnostic. I ended up buying a $30 pair of inserts on Amazon and getting a laser therapy treatment from my chiropractor that offered WAY more relief than the shoes they recommended.
Really like goin to this foot dr. He makes sure heart and blood flow is good before he does a procedure.
Dealing w Office person at Festus location was an absolute horrible experience for me. The doctor should hire a more pleasant and honest staff. The foot doctor was nice and knowledgeable but busy and had to rush. The result not perfect.
