RecommendedWe were looking for a casual seafood restaurant and tried this place featured on food networks “diners, drive-ins, and dives”. The clam chowder was just okay. The fried clam strips were crispy. Also tried the fried pollock, shrimp, scallops, and clam belly’s. Not greasy and tasted yummy. The seafood worth the wait. We walked past all the other restaurants claiming good food. Short line, plenty of meat in the combo selection. Food was priced Right. Everyone else was absolutely too high. I appreciate the fresh taste. Will definitely be there again.
The food was amazing, tasted so fresh. Not only was the food 5 stars but the service was as well. To be such a small place, our wait wasn’t long. Our drinks needed refilling and the server at the door had her hands full but she took them up to get refilled when technically it is a walk up style ordering. Just above and beyond great customer service. And did I mention the food was so very delicious?
We loved it! We had the fried calamari, fish and shrimp it was cooked to perfection.
Not sure what Guy from diners, drive-ins and dives was thinking when he said best lobster role in New England. It was okay, not awesome. ($$$$) lobster role was dry coleslaw had too much mayonnaise. Staff was a little rude, place is a little dirty. I wouldn’t send any of my friends from out of town here for a lobster roll experience.
I used to love eating at Yankee Lobster when I went to concerts at Blue Hills and I was looking forward to it last evening. After waiting fifteen minutes in line, my friend and I were informed we would not be admitted as the restaurant was closing at seven and the people ahead of us were the last that could be accommodated. The host was apologetic. But the policy is rude. You should never let people enter a line if you might not serve them. You wasted my time. You have lost my business.
Whenever we visit Boston, we go Yankee Lobster Co. My daughter love this place. It's Lobstor roll is the best. Service is also good. Best seafood in the whole New Englad....
