Dr. Roby is my 2nd psychiatrist. I’ve been with her since I fired my first one nearly 3 years ago. I much prefer Dr. Roby’s style. She is easy to talk to, asks good questions, and gets to the bottom of my needs so we can make a plan going forward. Creating my cocktail of meds took time in the beginning but Dr. Roby accepted all my feedback and changed meds when needed. Now I’m very stable and in “maintenance” mode under her care. Highly recommend for her carefulness and willingness to listen.
I been trying to get an appointment with Dr. Roby for months after being referred by my primary doctor due to insecurity and confidence issues that led to depression. During the long wait for my initial consultation, I did what any rational person would do and found another psychiatrist that could meet me sooner, just to keep my antidepressants going. Not a good listener. It felt like every session was starting fresh having to re-explain everything. I would often have to correct her active-listening and summaries of how I was doing. It was hard to make myself understood and never knew if I was getting though. She often downplayed how I was feeling.
Dr. Roby is a knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate psychiatrist. I am grateful to have her as a trusted referral for my clients.
Dr. Roby was very helpful to me, She is compassionate and well educated and informed, very impressed with her level of care, She made me feel that she wants the best for me as a patient and listened and asked questions to understand my whole situation to find best care plan for me, not like other doctors who pick the pill of the month and send you on your way.
