Very impressed! The taste and preparation was incredible. We ordered take away but we'll definately return to dine in. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The chirashi was generous with expertly prepared sashimi. The tempura was also a fan favorite. Beautiful balance of panko and vegetables, Perfect crispiness surrounding fresh tasting veggies. Looking forward to going back and trying more of their menu.
Love the food here. Best sushi. Have been a loyal customer. Which is why this is difficult to write. I went in last night to get my pick up order. It was not ready yet so they asked me to wait at the front, which I did - patiently. Then after 10 minutes I inquired after my order and found it had been sitting behind the counter ready for almost that entire time. The wait staff was not busy except taking to each other. A true Toronto gem! I have been to many sushi restaurants over the years, and Yanagi Sushi is truly top notch for fresh, high-quality sushi. Every roll is incredibly fresh, perfectly soft, crispy in all the right places, and expertly prepared. You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. I come here frequently, have invited guests, and we have never been disappointed. Yanagi Sushi is an awesome sushi restaurant that never disappoints!
