My family and I had a great experience at Yamato's. The sushi was great at the bar and our hibachi chef was funny and entertaining. Your usual hibachi showmanship, with flames ablaze and a well aimed shrimp toss that I caught in my mouth for rounds of applause from our table. I would definitely like to come back the next time I am visiting.
Love this place, the sushi is fantastic and their signature rolls are my JAM! Great happy hour at the bar as well, I'm here at least once a week.
The food was delicious as always! I have eaten there for years and look forward to going back! The chef was hilarious!
We lost our reservation when we stepped outside, for under 2 minutes, to get a two-year old who was running outside with his mom rather than waiting inside the restaurant. They were literally right outside the restaurant. When we returned, we were informed that our table had been given to someone else. When we complained, no yelling... just stated that this was a bit ridiculous, we were asked to leave and told we could not eat there. I have ate here for years the service was so bad, soup bowls are so small now , my chicken and shrimp were over cooked, local boy here. The yum yum sauce made me sick, I had Diarrhea from hell and back, we know to stay away from ginger root for that reason. Save your monies and go else where to eat. 2 other good Japanese restaurants in Myrtle Beach.
I go every few months never had a bad experience. well worth it!
