AWFUL! Some of the staff literally need to learn better bedside manner. They have absolutely no empathy at all. When you work with people who are sick or ailing, you need to do better than to dismiss them and then excuse yourself and say that you have your hands tied in order to absolve yourself from being more helpful to the patient!
Went in last June with fever, headache, stiff neck, joint pain, and rash (though not bulls-eye). Was told I probably had some kind of viral arthritis and should sit tight until I could speak with my PCP later that week. Well, it’s been a year and, in hindsight, I should have been given antibiotics for Lyme right away, since that’s what it turned out to be. I’ll never know if faster treatment would’ve made a difference, but I have Post Treatment Lyme Disease Syndrome now, which means bouts and fatigue, pain, and brain fog. So... read more
