Nice gym, but pushy. – My aim isn?t to come on here and bash someone by name. I think that is stupid and it damages people?s careers. However, I would like to say that a few days ago, I went into the Logan Square location for a price list, which I was then redirected to wait for a consultant. A DUMP of a gym, but VERY convient hours – First off, it's NOT Powerhouse Total Fitness anymore, it's XSport Fitness. I was around this place when it first opened in the late 90s. Back then, there wasn't anything fancy like a basketball court or pool or anything like the modern gyms do these days. Fast forward to the present and the only thing they "improved" is installing tanning rooms for "tans" and probably for those "SPECIAL Services" from the front desk "saff". I like it – Nice clean gym, big in size, nice friendly crowd. Equipment looks new. They do have parking which is a nice plus.
Horrible time, read my full review on yahoo – The 'personal trainer' did not give me any answers to my fitness questions, and she had a bad reaction when she discovered that I hadn't purchased a $2000 personal training package. I had a baby and was extremely out of shape, hadn't worked out for a few years...and I made that clear to her. she worked my legs out so extensively that I could not walk afterwards...my knees hurt badly and so did my lower back. Best personal trainer (Maria) and service! – X-sport fitness has the best value and best personal trainer, Maria Palombo. I've had various trainers at clubs around the city and in comparison, her workouts are more innovative and she keeps you motivated along with being aproachable and friendly. The time goes by so fast. Also, great club, clean, up to date and focused on its members. Highly recommend!
staff powerless – I live less than 1/2 block away and refuse to set foot in this place ever again. The staff, from front desk to management, is so rude and very unprofessional. There is often a wait for machines and many of the prime classes are not offered at times that the 8-5 working person could attend. Oh some advice to the staff: no one wants to be doing cardio smelling and watching you eat your dinner--try a staff lounge.
Mrs. Member for Life – convenient parking which they validate, beautiful interior, lots of cardio theater, plenty of free weights & machines, over 30 personal trainers to help you, no sales offices, great price, friendly & helpful staff, nice referral incentives, juice bar, child care, tanning, i'm a member for life!
