I give the staff 11 stars! They go above and beyond from the kindness of their heart and not just because of their employment there. My vacation was stress-free fun and enjoyable and the staff had a lot to do with that. My room balcony was literally over the beautiful bay water. sitting out watching the sunrise and sunset was breathtaking, purely paradise. It's on Thames Street in Bowmans wharf where all the shops and restaurants are, Everything you need is less than a 5min walk. 100% recommend it!!

Checked in the WYNDHAM NEWPORT ONSHORE THIS AFTERNOON AT 3:30. NOT ONLY WAS OUR 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY WATER VIEW 2 BEDROOM SUITE READY, BUT WE WERE GREETED BY SEAN, JARNEYA, DESIREE AND JOE WITH A SUMPTUOUS 7 CHEESE, 3 SALAMI, MULTI FRUIT, & CRACKERS TRAY IN THE LOBBY. BOTTLES OF WINE WERE ALSO OPENED AS THE RECEPTIONISTS REGISTERED US, AS WE ENJOYED THE GREETING APPETIZERS. OUR SUITE WAS SPACIOUS AND SPOTLESS, AS THE GAS FIREPLACE BLAZED IN THE LIVING ROOM AND A CHILLED CHAMPAGNE BOTTLE AWAITED US ON THE DINNING ROOM TAB... read more
It is really nice here but noisy. The shops are VERY expensive as well as restaurants. My only complaint... In the"off season" the outdoor pool is obviously closed -but so is the park and whole outdoor area. I can't go sit on a bench outside because they're all in that area locked away. If it's nice outside you have to barbeque on the parking lot???
