I had a very mixed experience during my stay. As this was my father’s 76 birthday weekend. To start with, there were ongoing issues with the room—specifically the lack of a proper dark window shade. After reporting it, the front desk sent maintenance to adjust the temperature and provided extra blankets. Located in Union Square. Great location for sightseeing without a car. Concierge was fantastic in getting discounted bus tours and suggesting how to reach tourist areas by foot or public transportation. Lovely rooms and nice restaurants nearby.
Wyndham did a great job of turning this into a very nice and comfortable place. The rooms were updated and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. You can walk to Union Square easily in 10 minutes. It isn't too far from Fisherman's Wharf but it is a hilly walk to get there. There are some good restaurants close by. You can Uber, Waymo or use buses to get to most of the attractions easily.
This hotel is excellent the rooms are big and has half full kitchen. The only thing they need is a jacuzzi for relax after your walking around the city.
