Atmosphere was amazing, it was very pretty place. Stairs felt alittle cramped and steep, I wish they had asked if we were okay with second floor before they seated us. Mashed potato was very very buttery. Pork chop was very good but cheese grits had too much cheese. Prime rib with tiger sauce was very good. Food was abit more expensive than what it was worth, but atmosphere makes up for it.
No way for a solo visitor to make reservations. Tried.....at 5pm on any day this week, and says not available. If I change it to the people, magically reservations are available. No way to contact the restaurant via email from the website, tried to call in and make a reservation, chose the appropriate extension, it rang a few times and disconnected, tried twice. Awesome environment. Very unique. Service was excellent, very formal feel. Good was decent, most people felt it was slightly to much money for the portion, but you're paying for experience to I guess. Would probably head back.
As an avid home cook I am typically disappointed in the quality/value I get from expensive restaurants that seem to base their prices mainly off their hype or name instead of food quality. On the contrary, this place was amazing. I got the dry aged ribeye and it was the best steak I've ever had. I'm not sure what magic they used, but it had the most amazing char, balanced seasoning, and perfect tenderness.
