My wife had teeth extracted, then had Dentures made that did not fit, the Dentist left an infected wisdom tooth in her mouth,yet did not refer to an Oral Surgeon. After that discovery of the infected wisdom tooth, which was shortly after the extactions, we had the infected tooth pulled. The Dentures never fitted properly even after adjustments.
